Great Sand Castle Contest: This is our most notable event. This annual event draws people from around the United States to partake in the art of sand castle on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
AIA Monterey Bay Public Forum Programs to help disseminate public information as related to the built world are another service this local chapter provides.
AIA Monterey Bay Design Charettes are held to provide professional help to local agencies, cities and others. These events occur throughout the year for the benefit of the public and to allow local architects to contribute their unique abilities and skills.
AIA Monterey Bay Traveling Public Awareness Display is exhibited throughout the Tri County area to acquaint the public with the unique and varied work of local professional architects associated with the American Institute of Architects.
AIA Monterey Bay Client Referral Service categories of architectural projects are listed, along with names of AIAMB member firms specializing in those categories.
AIA Monterey Bay Awards for Excellence in Architectural Design Program is a biennial award program to acknowledge the exceptional effort to produce excellent architecture required by the architect, client and contractor. The Citation Award recognizes exceptional design features in a building; the Award of Merit recognizes overall design quality, and the Honor Award designates those projects worthy of emulation by other architects.
